Hard and Challenging Bodyweight Exercises
One major gripe people have with bodyweight exercise is that they do not provide enough resistance, thus it takes longer to get a good workout and the high reps are not favourable for gaining muscle.
We at BudgetBodyBuilding.com have come to the rescue again; providing the following list of challenging bodyweight exercises for a total body workout, that even the strongest amongst us will find hard. Most exercises are simple variations on exercises you will already know, but these variations will certainly challenge you.
Chest and Triceps
Hindu Press-ups
Elongated Press-ups
Dips
High-incline Diamond Press-ups
The same as a normal diamond press up except with your legs elevated
Back and biceps
Pull Ups (wide grip, narrow grip, hammer grip)
These really speak for themselves
Horizontal Pull Ups
Shoulders
Hand Stand Press-ups
Legs
Pistol Squats
One Legged Squat
The same as the pistol squats but without the jump. Both these exercises are also fantastic for balance
